Silicone Adhesive Tapes

Silicone Adhesive Tapes

Secad has been producing silicone adhesive tapes for many years now. The tape generally consists of 23-micron transparent PET film with a self-adhesive silicone resin coating. The resins are particularly suitable for extreme applications in which normal adhesives cannot be used. On production lines, it is usually used to splice film or paper with low surface tension, like release paper or silicone paper. Since the backing is heat-treated, silicone adhesives are also resistant to heat: they can consistently withstand temperatures of 200-250°C. Some types of silicone can even resist heat above 300°C. The PET film we use can be supplied with a silicone backing for Customers, who require total anti-adhesion of the processed surface. In addition, the tape can also be used as protection during various process phases, such as painting, galvanic cleaning or chemical washing. Secad has one standard red tape with anti-adhesive backing. Different colours and types of adhesive and backing are, however, available on request.
